Message from Messenger If we follow God's compass, we will not stray from His path.
We will have mastered Sunday's teaching lesson well when we partake of the life-giving actions of Christ - when our moral courage, our patient endurance outlasts stubbornness. When we draw on the power of Christ's helping as we care for the "other" - spouse, colleague, friend, childe, enemy, stranger; when we forgive others and when we forgive ourselves. These are fine imitations that introduce God into our world. We have been taught about the ways and will of God, not by a long speech from God but by God's specific actions in Jesus who is God with us. We learn, we are amazed. What is your view of those who are incarcerated. Before you answer this question, I would really like you to think about it - especially if you were ever a victim. I was a victim of theft; 4 days in a row. The thief cleaned-me out! I'll give you an example of what happened to me and ho I handled my theft. I was very angry and hurt because I worked very hard to acquire the things we needed and some of the things we wanted. I was also angry with God. I was taking care of my mother, father, son and sister. I wanted to know where was God when I needed Him? So I had to pray. Then I remembered the line from Footprint In The Sand; which says if you don't see me, I am carrying you. I also thought about the scripture of Luke 23:42-43 where one of the thieves hanging on the cross called out to Jesus, "Remember me when you come into your kingdom." Jesus said to him, "I promise you that today you will be in Paradise with me." In that moment, it was as if Jesus was speaking to me when He said that material things don't matter. That changed my way of thinking. If Jesus can forgive, why can't I? My God is my rock! Bible verse to reflect: Ephesians 4:1-16: The Unity of The Body..
