What can I donate to auction on eBay? EVERYTHING! Below, is just a sample of items you may have taking up space in your home or business: Collectibles: Jewelry & watches, books, coins, autographs, antiques, historical memorabilia, comics, knives, stamps, pottery & glass collections Garage stuff: Sporting equipment, power tools, garden tools, autos, RVs, golf carts & trailers Electronic equipment: Cameras, portable audio, home audio & video, pagers, computer hardware & software, DVD players, video games Home & Office: Holiday decorations, decorative items, musical instruments, CDs & DVDs, crystal & silver, small appliances, office equipment & supplies, inventory surplus, clearance items Other stuff: …….. anything else including used boxes & shipping materials. Our program has been verified by MissionFish a non-profit organization which qualifies donations as deductible. However, we also recommend you consult your tax advisor. Back to top Do I get a receipt? Yes, by request. Once your donation is listed on eBay, we can email you a link to your auction items. Once closed, you can print the page for your tax records. Back to top How much of my donation does St Andrew get? eBay collects an insertion and final value fee on each item. However, because we are a non-profit organization, eBay refunds 100% of their fees on sold items. MissionFish also charges $0 for their services. Paypal, the online banking service which handles payments from winning bidders, vary their charges depending on how the buyers pay; either $0 if the buyer uses funds directly out of their Paypal account or 2.9% if it is charged on a credit card. We need both unskilled volunteers and computer geeks. Non-computer skilled individuals can help collect, pack and ship auction items. Computer-savvy folks can help with ad promotion & maintenance.
