It was good going aboard a Chinese ship called the Tian Du Feng flagged by Hong Kong. It had a crew of 23, none of which had shore passes. I still had some sweatshirts to give out but am also starting to give T-shirts again. They loaded 66,000 metric tons of soy or 660 grain cars. It seems so strange .....
I was born August 21, 1927 at Stanly North Dakota. I never knew a time when I wasn't God's child. I was raised in the Lutheran discipline and would be asked by other Christians and hear terms such as "when were you born again?" I never had a clue as to what they were talking about. So I began to wonder when I become His.
I asked God and He gave me a vision. I was in the back of a room watching myself sitting on a bench swinging my feet at an evangelist meeting at an apartment in Minot, ND in the winter of 1936-1937.
Years later in a local Lutheran church I attended, I held many offices, and one October when I was senior deacon it was pledge month. It was my job to speak on stewardship. For me however, it was time to confirm my salvation as stated in the Gospel of Matthew 10:32 "Everyone therefore who shall confess Me before men I will also confess him before My Father who is in heaven." Similar scriptures are in Luke 12: 8, Romans 10:8f and Revelations 3:5. When I had completed my confession, I then spoke about stewardship.
During the late sixties there was a great out-pouring of the Holy Spirit and my wife, my daughters and myself were all filled with the Holy Spirit and have not been the same since.
